In emergencies and in times of threat, we often find ourselves looking to military service members and first responders. When everything feels uncertain, their courage provides stability. At Jennings, we want to follow in that example. That’s why we carry Briggs and Stratton whole-house generators. When everything goes dark, your home can stay bright and connected. Our community’s veterans and first responders are prepared for everything, and we’re proud to tap into that spirit of preparation.

Oldest Furnace Contest

On October 1, 2023 we launched our Oldest Furnace Contest with the purpose of uncovering and celebrating historical furnaces around the Akron, Ohio area. We were thrilled that over 100 community members entered the contest. The winning furnace, owned by Brenda D., was 116 years old! When it was time to notify the winner, we told Brenda we would be visiting to inspect a few things prior to selecting the final winner; instead, we arrived with balloons and a surprise giant check indicating her installation would be free. We’ve chosen to honor Brenda’s original furnace by saving the door to the unit with the manufacture date and we plan to feature it at our office.

Christian Home Educators of Ohio Golf Outing in Akron

Christian Home Educators of Ohio (CHEO Gold Outing That Occurred on 8/5/2022

Jennings is proud to sponsor Christian Home Educators of Ohio (CHEO) Golf Outing that occurred on 8/5/2022. For over 35 years, CHEO has served as the state homeschool organization for Ohio and has remained committed to their mission “to preserve the God-given, constitutional right to home educate, and to support and encourage families in fulfilling this biblical responsibility”. This is another Christian organization that supports the family and values we share here at Jennings. Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) All Abilities Camp That Occurred June (17-18)

Jennings is very proud to be sponsoring the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) All Abilities Camp this June (17-18). The FCA is a nationally recognized organization that delivers a Christian message alongside athletically-centered activity. This year they are holding a camp for disabled individuals (ages 5 to 25) at Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy. Professionals and volunteers will spend that Friday and Saturday celebrating an awesome yet underserved community.

We’ve been serving homes in the Cuyahoga, Medina, Stark, and Wayne since 1931, and we’re so excited to play a part in this summer’s All Abilities camp. Click Here to watch a great video from last year’s camp!
