Contest Rules:

Giveaway covers forced air furnaces only (natural gas or propane, including gravity furnace replacements). Boilers, oil 
furnaces, electric air handlers, mini splits, and similar systems are not eligible. Any additional work required to complete the install — 
including but not limited to electrical upgrades or major duct modifications — is not covered by Jennings and will be the responsibility of the winner. Any such costs will be identified and communicated to the winner before any work begins. Cost of asbestos removal (if present) is not covered by Jennings. Winner must reside within Jennings’ service area. Winner selected by Jennings at our sole discretion based on need. Jennings’ decision is final.

The Jennings “Furnace Giveaway” promotion (“Contest”) is sponsored by Jennings Heating, Cooling, Plumbing & Electric (“Jennings” or “Company”). By participating, each entrant agrees to abide by these Official Rules, including all eligibility requirements, and understands that the results of the Contest, as determined by Jennings in its sole and exclusive discretion, are final in all respects. The Contest is subject to all federal, state, and local laws and regulations and is void where prohibited by law.

Eligibility

The Contest is open to legal residents of the State of Ohio, USA, who are eighteen (18) years of age or older and who permanently reside within Jennings’ service area. Nominees must own the home in which the furnace would be installed. Entrants and nominees must have a valid, verifiable email address and phone number. Jennings reserves the right to verify the eligibility of any entrant or nominee, including visiting the nominee’s residence for a consultation regarding the installation. Jennings employees and their immediate family members are not eligible to win.

Prize

One (1) Grand Prize will be awarded: a new forced air furnace (natural gas or propane), including manufacturer warranties and a free one-time standard installation by Jennings. The replacement unit will be sized as a direct replacement of the winner’s existing furnace capacity. The prize is limited to forced air furnaces only. Boilers, oil furnaces, electric air handlers, mini splits, and similar systems are not eligible. The prize covers standard installation only. Any additional work required to complete the installation — including but not limited to  electrical upgrades, major duct modifications, asbestos removal, or repairs to bring the home’s gas, electrical, or duct systems up to current code — is NOT included in the prize and is the sole responsibility of the winner. Jennings will identify any such additional work and communicate the associated cost to the winner before any work begins. The prize is non-transferable, and no cash substitution or cash equivalent is permitted.

Winner Selection

An internal committee at Jennings will review all eligible submissions and select the winner based on demonstrated need and eligibility. This is not a random drawing. All decisions of the committee are final. Jennings reserves the right to extend, shorten, or terminate the Contest at its sole discretion. Finalists must give Jennings reasonable access to physically inspect the home’s existing furnace and connected systems to confirm Jennings can safely and lawfully complete the installation. Finalists may be disqualified if their home presents unsafe or hazardous conditions that would hinder safe removal, installation, or operation of the new unit. If no eligible finalist meets all requirements, Jennings reserves the right to select a winner at its discretion or to donate the prize to a nonprofit organization of its Choice.

Winner Notification

The winner will be contacted in person, by phone, or by email. If the winner cannot be reached or does not respond within seventy-two (72) hours of initial outreach, the winner forfeits the prize, and Jennings may select an alternate winner. This process continues until the prize is claimed.

Publicity

As a condition of entry and eligibility to win, the nominee agrees to grant Jennings an irrevocable, royalty-free license to use and publish the nominee’s name, image, approved biographical information, and likeness in all media in connection with the Contest, and to participate in reasonable media interviews or publicity activities associated with the Contest. By participating, each entrant grants Jennings permission to use his or her name, likeness, or comments for publicity purposes without additional compensation, except where prohibited by law.

Taxes

Receipt of the Grand Prize may be subject to IRS and other tax reporting. The winner is solely responsible for reporting and paying all 
applicable federal, state, and local taxes associated with the prize. If the value of the prize requires it, the winner may be required to provide a valid taxpayer identification number and will receive an IRS Form 1099, a copy of which will be filed with the IRS.

Indemnification and Limitation of Liability

By entering, each entrant agrees to release, indemnify, and hold harmless Jennings, the Facebook platform, and their respective officers, directors, employees, representatives, and agents from any liability, damages, losses, or injury resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from participation in the Contest or the acceptance, use, or misuse of any prize. Jennings makes no representations or warranties, express or implied, as to the fitness of the prize for any particular purpose.

Governing Law

This Contest and these Official Rules are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any 
dispute arising from or related to the Contest shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Summit County, Ohio, and each entrant submits to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
